How to make kind of raster engraving.

I made this with corel draw.

This will work only with vector graphics!

You make a rectangle with some fill undernith your graphic.

Select all, and press simplify.

Delete your graphic. Not the box, and draw a line. It can be any shape or angle, as long they dont owerlap. Duplicate them, so the entire motive is covered. I usually draw a line as shown, drag it a bit higher and press right mouse button and holding down the left one all the time. Then relase both. You shoud be ending with a copy. Ther hold control and Key R. The copy process should repeat itself.

Select all the lines and put them to the back. (Controll+pg dn).

then sellect all, and press simplify.

Delete the box and unneccesary lines.

Save it as regular corel draw file, like engrave.cdr And import in Inkscape, create g-code with laser plug-it and test.
